Thames Promotes Sustainability On National Book Day! Wednesday 17th August 2022

Thames Cleaning has donated books to 10 primary schools to help promote the importance of sustainability as part of National Book Day.  All the schools who received the free children's books are based locally to Thames Cleaning and the donation is part of a wider company sustainability initiative.

The books entitled “Looking after our planet” have a strong environmental message and aim to teach children about the importance of being environmentally friendly and being focussed on sustainability.

Alex Weller, Managing Director of Thames Cleaning said “The future of our planet relies on us and the next generation to act responsibly and understand the impact of our actions.  If we can help get that message across to people at a young age then I believe they won’t make the mistakes that maybe we have and will be more worldly wise about why we have to care for our environment and have a greener cleaner future.

“As a business we are working towards becoming Net Zero by 2035 and I am confident we will achieve that target, however, it does not stop there, we will continue to give back to our local communities and emphasise the importance of sustainability through our actions.”
