Thames Cleaning Gains Planet Mark Accreditation Tuesday 9th August 2022
Thames Cleaning has achieved the Plant Mark accreditation for its commitment to sustainability. The Planet Mark certification is given to organisations that monitor, measure and work towards reducing their carbon emissions and use of resources.
The UK-based cleaning company, founded in London and the South East, gained the accreditation in July 2022 and has now committed to achieving Net Zero by 2035.
“We feel strongly about protecting the environment and minimising our impact as well as our clients which is why we decided to work with Planet Mark.” said Alex Weller, Managing Director at Thames Cleaning “With the help of their team we have put in place a robust monitoring and measurement system as well as a process to identify ways we can minimise our impact even further and take our approach to sustainability to the next level. This accreditation is part of our long-term environmental strategy that will see our business achieve Net Zero by 2035.”
As part of its commitment to the sustainability and minimising its impact on the environment the company has introduced a free Clean Green Audit for all clients. This audit is conducted at the start of each contract and helps the team set KPIs and clear objectives which are agreed in partnership with its clients and then constantly monitored and reviewed. These audits tend to help Thames team identify areas where additional environmental benefits can be made as well as uncover potential cost efficiencies for the client.
